Be a Remote Concierge Contractor - MyTime

mytime logo

MyTime - Remote Concierge Work Opportunity

MyTime was founded by technology entrepreneur Ethan Anderson and in February of 2013, MyTime launched its website pilot in Los Angeles. Consumers loved the convenience of booking appointments online, day or night. They also saved significant amounts of money by booking off-peak appointments, which MyTime discounts to help businesses fill their open time slots.
The MyTime iPhone app later launched on October 3, 2013 and will be launching the android version soon. With this launch, MyTime will be the first app to allow consumers to book appointments on-the-go with over 2 million businesses.
What is MyTime?

MyTime is a company that is “reinventing local ecommerce.” They have built an online service where consumers can book appointments as well as purchase local services such as haircuts, house cleanings, massages, and other services from nearby local businesses. MyTime has integrated into the leading calendar applications on the market, giving them real-time visibility into each merchant’s schedule. When customers book appointments on MyTime, they will write back to the merchant’s calendar. This allows them to be a true one-stop destination to purchase services from millions of businesses across the country.
What are people saying about MyTime?

According to MyTime website, MyTime is venture backed by UpFront Ventures (Mark Suster), 500 Startups and other prominent angels. It recently won Top Mobile app at the Launch Mobile & Wearables Conference and was featured by Apple as “Best New App.” TechCrunch calls MyTime, “a rare breed of app like Uber, Pocket, and Venmo that makes life so much easier, it’s hard to remember how things worked before.” VentureBeat says MyTime is, “the Uber of local appointment booking” while Forbes refers to them as “the Amazon of local services.” Whatever you call them, they are busy building the world’s first local ecommerce destination, and would love for you to join in our mission.
What is this job like?

MyTime is providing an opportunity for people to make money as a Concierge Contractor from their homes as they provide MyTime the ability to outsource their first point of contact between MyTime and their customers and partner merchants. Therefore, MyTime is contracting you to be responsible for fielding customer requests for appointment bookings and calling businesses to confirm those appointments. Although, MyTime has brilliant technology in place to make this process easy, they need someone who is comfortable talking to customers on the phone, has great customer service and sales skills, and has the ability to work remotely and accomplish multiple administrative tasks.
What are my responsibilities as a Concierge Contractor?

 • Communicate with customer to better understand their requirements (e.g. what kind of haircut are you looking for?).

 • Call businesses to arrange appointments for business AND pitch them on MyTime services.

 • Deliver an excellent customer experience, even when it’s not possible to meet a customer’s needs.

 • Be the eyes and ears of the company -- help MyTime better understand their customers, merchants and what makes them tick.

Swipe Your Phone & Earn Rewards With the Fronto App

fronto pic 1

If you like making extra money and earn rewards through apps, I think you would really like the Fronto app. By simply waking up your phone as usual, you will earn real cash rewards everyday. It really that easy and super fun! This app is similar to apps like Slidejoy but better. Fronto definitely offers a way to earn extra cash and rewards for doing something that you do every single day –unlock your phone.

Note: Fronto is currently available for Android Smartphone users in the United States.

How Does It Work

After you install the Fronto app, you will begin seeing different types of content on your lock screen. You will be able to scroll up and down to see various apps and articles that you can read. Unlike the other similar “get paid to unlock your phone” apps such as Slidejoy, Fronto also offers interesting articles. In fact, interesting articles will most likely make up half of the content that you see.

So, how does it work. It’s simple. When you wake up your phone, curated content, promotion and deal will be shown on your lock screen. You can scroll up to discover other pages. If you are interested in an article, an app, or a promotion, slide left to learn more. Then you will see the content details. If you just want to unlock your phone, swipe to the right. Now, here is the good part, when you are on the screen and you see reward points under the little article, promotion or app icon, swipe to the left. You will instantly receive your points once you have read, redeemed or downloaded an app.

// <![CDATA[

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

// ]]>
Swiping to the left and engaging with the sponsored content or apps on your phone is how you will earn points that you can redeem for cash or gift cards.
How Much Money Can You Really Earn?

The Fronto app pays you in redeemable points that may be converted to cash or gift codes such as PayPal, Amazon Gift Cards and Google Play Gift Cards. The exact amount you get per interaction with sponsored promotions depends on the advertiser.

However, on average, most Fronto users can expect to earn anywhere from $15 to $100 monthly from point redemptions, so this is a little bit more lucrative than other similar apps like Slidejoy.

How You Get Paid With Fronto

Once you have accumulated at least 25,0000, you can redeem cash in the form of Paypal or gift cards such as Amazon, Google Play, etc.) or coupons.

You don’t have to wait to gain your rewards as payments are made instantly.

My Overall Thoughts

Although, Fronto is fairly new, it’s a keeper so far. I love to read and I like the idea of having unique and interesting articles on my screen as soon as I wake my phone up. I even get to learn about new apps and of course I love the idea of getting paid instantly for what I do everyday. If you have an Android device, you should try it out and and see how you like it. Fronto has high reviews on the Google Play store.

How to Get the Fronto App?

Download it here. Don’t forget to comment and share your experience with us. I would like to hear about your experience as a Fronto user.

Find Great Freelance Work on Elance

elance-freelancers

Many of my fans have demanded more information about freelance work from home. So, I thought it would be a great idea to talk about Elance - a site where you can sign up and get paid for doing almost any type of freelance work.

How does it work?

It’s easy to sign up. You don’t need to wait to be approved to work on their site. You just need to create an account. Once you have signed up for their website, you will see three membership options: the first option is free and the other two require payment. If you are not familiar with the site, you should probably start off with their free version first to get a feel of the website. It’s similar to other freelance websites like oDesk and Guru. It’s great to pay for extra features if you are familiar with freelance work online and if you are going to be on the website constantly. The benefits of paying for extra features include your profile getting placed higher in their search results for prospective employers to find you and getting the option to add your profile to more categories.

What happens after I sign up?

Once you have signed up, you will create your worker portfolio. It is imperative that you create an awesome profile. You want it to be attractive to prospective employers as well as stand out among the other freelance workers. Please add a resume which will allow prospective employers to see your past work with other clients, personal information about yourself and areas of expertise. This will help you get more job requests.

How do I get work?

There are two ways to find freelance work on Elance: the first way is to bid on jobs. The other way is to wait for employers to contact you.

Types of Work Available

Almost anything! You will find a lot of work requests for IT, web & mobile work, writing, project management, marketing & sales, translators, design & multimedia and office & admissions. However, there’s also data science, legal, engineering and arch., customer service and so on. Right now, there are a lot of requests for the jobs that I just named above. So, if you are an expertise in those areas, more than likely, you’ll probably get hired by someone who needs work done and is willing to pay for your services.

Cons about Elance

It can be stressful bidding on jobs with so many employers in search for cheaper labor. Although, you might have bid a small amount, there is always someone who is desperate for the job and will bid an even lower amount to get the job. In addition, many Elance workers are from other countries and what they might consider high amount, we who are in the U.S. would consider the amount to be under minimum wage. I have never worked with this website. However, I know this can happen because I am a music expert on a website called LivePerson where clients contact me if they are interested in my profile. There were times where I had to persuade my clients to choose me based on my skills. Since this can be a problem, it’s imperative that you have a very good portfolio! You definitely need to create an awesome and powerful profile so people will be tempted to hire you first instead of finding the cheapest way to get their work done.

What type of jobs can I get at Elance?

At Elance, you can get paid by the hour or get paid per project.

How Can I Be Sure I will Get Paid?

Elance guarantees payment through their escrow system, so you can do your work in peace.

If you are interested, apply here!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and give reviews about Elance! I would love to hear about your experience.

How to Publish Your Book on Amazon Kindle

iUniverse

How to Publish Your Book on Amazon Kindle

I received a request about how to self-publish a book through Amazon Kindle. There are two ways: The first way is to simply do it yourself through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing website where you can independently publish with Kindle Direct Publishing. It's quick and you can market your book fast. Publishing takes up to 5 minutes and your book will appear on Kindle stores worldwide within 48 hours. You could make more money and earn up to 70% royalty on sales to customers in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, India, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and more. However, you will have to do it yourself. That includes making sure your format is the way you want it and so on.

To make things easier, I recommend iUniverse which is a self-publishing company for book writers. One of the services iUniverse offers is making books that are available in their thousands of online resellers. This also includes Amazon in paperback and eBook. Therefore, iUniverse will do most of the legwork for you.
Digital Formatting and Distribution (eBook)

When your book is formatted into an eBook, it can be downloaded to a digital device that allows the buyer to adjust the font size for readability. iUniverse will format and submit your ePub file for the Amazon Kindle, Sony® Reader, Barnes & Noble nookTM, Kobo Books, Google Play Books, Scribd.com and iBooks Store* which is available on the iPhone and iPad application.

iUniverse will make sure to make the formatting of your ePub edition looks just like your print edition. However, some design elements of your print book may not be supported in the ePub format. iUniverse is not responsible for making any changes to the design of your ePub edition.

If you are interested in this service, you can buy it by selecting one of the publishing packages on their website that includes it and individual image files inside your book cannot be larger than 10 MB.

In order to meet submission standards, you must review your manuscript thoroughly to check for spelling and correct rendering of any diacritical mark such as caret, tilde, acute accent, etc.

Unfortunately, books written in languages other than English or Spanish are not submitted to iBooks Store due to Apple formatting restrictions. However, iUniverse is trying to amend this.
Other Author Services

iUniverse offers a variety of the professional services just like any traditional publishing house. These services include editorial, design, production, marketing and publicity. This publishing company is different from other self-publishing companies as their services are developed and managed by industry veterans.

iUniverse team will work with you by incorporating your photos, graphics, sketches and ideas—to create a professional book cover that beautifully represents your book's contents.

My Thoughts

I have seen the quality of this company’s service through my aunt’s book called Poetic Praise by Claudette Scott. She wrote her book in 2000 and iUniverse did a marvelous job helping her chose her book cover and helping her format her book. My aunt hired her two best friends to edit her book even though she is an excellent writer. Both friends were professional teachers. I suggest finding people that you are close to and have them edit your book for you. This is a lot cheaper and you can give your friends recognition by acknowledging them in your book. Here is a link to my aunt's book as an example. Click Here Her book is also available in eBook format with Kindle.

Popular Online Jobs for Teenagers

teen You might think it is difficult to find online jobs for teenagers as most online companies require a person to be at least 18 years of age. However, there are online jobs for teenagers who are under the age of 18 years old.
Take Surveys

Having a survey taking job is the easiest and straightforward option to make extra cash online. These involve paid surveys that are organized by online market research companies that actively seek out the opinions and feedback of the public. This can include movie surveys, health surveys, entertainment surveys and even focus groups. There are several survey panels that welcome a person who is at least 13 years old. Once you have created a personal profile, you can start taking paid surveys. When you take surveys, you can be rewarded in cash or points or even gift cards. Points can be redeemed for PayPal (cash) or other gift cards like Starbucks, Amazon and many more. To get you started, here are a few popular and trusted sites: CashCrate and SurveySavvy. The typical compensation is $2 for every survey completed and it takes about 20 minutes or less to complete a survey. In addition, CashCrate is also a Get Paid To (GPT) site; therefore, your teen can earn money for doing other cool activities like watching short videos, playing games or adding new apps on their smart devices, etc. Another GPT site that your child can use is InboxDollars. o-BLACK-TEENS-ON-COMPUTER-facebook
Write Content

One of the best online jobs from home is content writing. If you are an excellent writer, you should become a freelance writer for companies who are looking for talented people like yourself. Students who have proficient English and have mastery over other foreign languages have an extra advantage. If writing is easy like 1, 2, 3, I would suggest writing for websites like Guru.com and Demand Studios (Demand Studios pays very well and pays every two weeks. I used to be an eHow writer for this company). If you setup a strict plan for yourself as a freelance writer, you can hit your earning goal with no problem.
Win a Trip to NY Comic Con

Creating and Selling Art Work

Artistic? Then you should start selling your crafts on places like Etsy. Etsy helps you setup a nice cool online storefront with its amazing collection of useful toolkit. Before you start, make sure you setup an account with PayPal. This will allow your customers to pay you for your items.
