If you love culture and love teaching English as a second language, becoming a Skype English Tutor might be the right opportunity for you.  This is a very cool and interesting job where you can tutor English via Skype.  The owner is looking for native English speakers who are patient and can present and speak articulate English while facilitating online English learning through Skype.   You will have interesting and fun conversations with people in foreign countries.  The majority of the students are from Japan. If you can speak some Japanese, that will be great but it is not necessary for hire.

What is Hello English?

Hello English is an online company where Japanese learners and other learners from other countries have everyday conversations with Skype English Conversation Tutors while tutors strategically give light correction of intonation, grammar, pronunciation, sentence structure and fluency.  Tutors will also provide learners with complete understanding of idioms and vocabulary.   Hello English is very compassionate about teaching and helping their learners to succeed.  This company understands that many students have fears and insecurities about their English speaking skills.  By knowing this, the company’s goal is to provide these students with friendly tutors who will compassionately correct someone who is trying hard to learn a new language!

What are the requirements to become a Skype English Conversation Tutor?

• Must be a fluent English speaker


• Must be a good conversationalist, outgoing and very articulate with clear pronunciation.


• Must be Skype literate with a reliable computer, good internet connection and a web camera.


• MUST BE PATIENT, FRIENDLY, PUNCTUAL and POLITE!


• Must be available to work for at least 10 hours per week.


• Must be able to correct grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and idiom usage mistakes kindly but relentlessly.

Pay Rate & Class Information:

Hello English pays tutors per class session.  You will be paid via PayPal on a weekly basis.  Each class lasts for 55 minutes. This is not a regular 9-5 job!  Students are from various parts of the world and from different time zones.  Times are flexible and you will be managing your own schedule, give classes around your daily life and work from your home on Skype.
